Going to Haiti for 2 weeks in June and we were wondering what city is the carnival is located? What month does the carnival starts? Is it safe?

For those of you wishing to head to Haiti for the carnival event it is located in Jacmel, it is the perfect choice to get the chance to learn and experience the West Indian Style Culture.
Jacmel, is (Jakmèl in Kréyòl) also known by its indigenous name of Yaquimel, it is a city in southern Haiti founded in 1698. It is the capital of the South-East department.
Carnival season in Haiti, starts right after the New Year’s festivities are over in late January and continues until February 5th. The carnival event in Jacmel is known to be one of the safest events in the
country of Haiti.
It’s the most beautiful coastal and mountainous paradise Islands you had always dreamed about. So, if you plan to visit, please make sure you put this on your agenda.
This is one Carnival event that happens only once a year that you can’t afford to miss out on!!!
